How You Can Help
Giving to Bamberger Ranch Preserve
J. David Bamberger, co-founder of Church's Fried Chicken, always wanted guests to come away with more than a cheap meal - he wanted the value to be more than the price. That same philosophy carries over to the Preserve. "Do Not Close the Gate", he says, to those who need natural experiences the most - like children who do not have a grandfather who owns a ranch. We never want to set a price that the under-served cannot afford, and because of that, money brought in from tour fees and educational programs do not meet our conservative costs to operate a ranch that also hosts the public. Because of this philosophy, the Bamberger Ranch has an annual financial shortfall.
People who donate to the ranch can feel confident that their donation goes directly to preserving this 5,500 acre Texas Hill Country Ranch. The Bamberger Ranch Preserve aims to never have the following:
- Vending machines
- Gift or coffee shops
- Cell phone towers
- Paved parking lots
- Dumpster in view
We challenge visitors to find any city, state or national park that doesn't have at least one, if not all of those things. We want Selah to always be Nature. Pure and Simple.
